About me

I'm a chilean lens-based media artist based in NYC. I did my undergraduate studies in Graphic Design and graduated in the OYC "General Studies in Photography" program at ICP.

I use photography as a tool to document and question my surroundings. Exploring them in a visual language allows me to understand them beyond a single image, trusting photography as a driving force for storytelling.

Pain and violence are inscribed into my body, not in words but in ways of being. By looking into my own personal story, I question how the traumatic memories are transmitted through generations and renewed in each body. In analyzing the role of language in the corporal and spatial construction of identity, I’m rediscovering and reconceptualizing the female body in society
